You know there’s good stuff ahead…

The Grovel has been postponed one week to Sunday, October 6th! Because: weather. Gross.

Ride the scenic, rustic and demanding gravel roads of Dakota and Goodhue counties! I’m happy to announce the return of the Gravel Grovel for 2019! The GG will depart Jack Ruhr Field (Mud Hens Stadium) in Miesville, Minnesota on Sunday, OCTOBER 6TH, 2019 at 9 AM.

There’s lots of gravel, a little tarmac (boo!) and a slew of river valleys to conquer over 85 miles and 5000 feet of climbing. Flat, straight, boring country roads are scarce!

As always, the GG is a free and unsupported ride, which means no support, no sag stops and no support vehicles. I’ve gone to great lengths to keep the GG away from civilization meaning towns and convenience stores are all but nonexistent, so come prepared.

While the course is not marked, .tcx files and cue sheets in pdf form will be posted during the week leading up to the ride. Lastly, please consider bringing some beers, cookies or something tasty to share after the ride.
